18 year old Katie Costello is a living homage to ‘never judge a book by its cover.’ She may be petite, but her mighty imagination yields a one-of-a-kind kazoo virtuosity and a unique lyrical approach to music.
When not ‘song-doodling’, as she calls it, Hermosa Beach, CA native (but now NYC resident) Katie can be found studying in coffee shops and/or public libraries as she finishes her final year of high school online (please find the hidden track, “Virtual Diploma” for more details on her cyber learning journey).
Katie’s music is being played on KCRW (89.9 Santa Monica) on ‘Morning Becomes Eclectic,’ where it was chosen for their ‘Top Tune of the Day’ & was available as a free iTunes download.
Recent placements include the CW’s “90210,” “One Tree Hill,” and ABC’s “Private Practice”.
