Renee Yohe is best known as the inspiration for To Write Love On Her Arms, the prominent non profit organization which has received international notoriety, including legions of celebrities including members of: Paramore, Switchfoot, Anberlin, Evanescence, Hawthorne Heights, Panic at the Disco, and many others. Her book, “Purpose for the Pain” is the inspiring story of her battles through addiction, depression and self-mutilation. In heartbreaking detail and poetic outpourings, Renee chronicled her journey from self-destruction to new life.
Renee’s story is a light of possibility to anyone who feels trapped by darkness. Rene currently tours the country speaking to groups of all types. A movie about her life is currently in production with major studios. Rene's lecture topics can range from her book, to hope and inspiration, overcoming depression and addiction as well discussions on self-mutilation. Rene is dedicated to helping others overcome their struggles by providing hope and inspiration through her stories. |
